PARIS 07 Musée Grevin
Das Musée Grevin ist auch ein Kleinod der Jahrhundertwende 1899/1900, (meine momentane Lieblingszeit.) Man zahlt irre viel Eintritt, aber es lohnt sich allein (und ehrlichgesagt ganz speziell) für die liebevoll rekonstruierte Attraktion der Pariser Weltausstellung von 1900 (meine momentane Lieblingsweltausstellung), das “Palais des Mirages”.
Man betritt einen dunklen Raum, nachdem man vorher eine gewisse Zeit in einem prachtvollen Louis XIV-Flur gewartet hat. Die Türen schliessen sich wie von Geisterhand und plötzlich erstrahlt um einen herum eine scheinbar unendlich weite Landschaft aus Gängen und beleuchteten Säulen. Mit dramatischer Musik wechselt auch die Stimmung der durch Spiegelillusionen scheinbar ewig weiten Räume, der Raum verdunkelt sich und die Decke wird mechanisch verändert, so daß sich der Eindruck ergibt, man stünde in einem risiegen Regenwald voller exotischer Tiere usw… Es ist echt toll, eine ganz einfache Illusion aber wirklich zauberhaft.
So sah das Palais des Mirages vor 106 Jahren aus.
Und so sieht es heute aus! (Das Foto habe ich bei flickr gestohlen, weil ich selbst kein so gutes hinbekommen habe, scusi!)
